The crowd gathered to witness The Dolphins returning and racing at the venue for the first time this decade. It earned them a place on the team heading to Hangzhou, China for the 2018 FINA World Short Course Championships in December.

The swimming superstars including- Emma McKeon, Mitch Larkin, Grant Irvine, Ariarne Titmus, David Morgan, Ellie Cole, and Victoria’s Mack Horton. All showed their talent and ability in 25m Short Course format in this national selection trial event.

The event offered world-class racing along with Optus fan zone, athlete meet and greets. There were gourmet food trucks for the spectators and the audience. The spectators and visitors also got to know about the secrets of the winners, like their diets, exercises and swimming costumes.

#3 2018 Australian State Teams Championships

The Australian State Teams Championships is a short course meet. The meet takes place at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra, Australia every year. In 2018, this meet commenced on 3rd October and ended on 5th October. The event is held in teams. Various state teams go head-to-head in multiple individual as well as relay events. They do so to score points for their states, score themselves with maximum wins.

#1 2019 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships

The 2019 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships is the nearest upcoming event in Australia. The event will be held at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre, South Australia. It will take place from 7th April to 12th April 2019. It will be used as the selection event for the 2019 World Para-Swimming Championships (venue TBC), the 2019 World University Games in Naples (Italy) and the World Junior Championships in Budapest (Hungary).

#2 The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018)

Another swimming event to dig on is The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018). The event is going to be held from 4th April to 15th April at Optus Aquatic Centre, Marine Parade, Southport, Gold Coast. This largest sporting event to be staged in Australia will feature the largest integrated sports program in Commonwealth Games history. The event will comprise 18 sports and seven para-sports.

The Swimming program will take place in the 50m pool in which the swimmers will compete in the events based around four strokes.
